My All-time Favourite Author ( Dan Brown)
He will be yours too.
The author I’m talking about is Dan Brown. If you’re an art lover like me you’ll know him already. If not than trust me when I say you all need to read his books. I’ve been reading his books from what feels like forever.
As far as I remember I stumbled across one of his book when I was trying to find something good to read in the book store. Getting books from a book store old times, huh. Now it’s all about Amazon. Just buy whatever you want from the comfort of your home.
I’m not as good of a writer as compared to him but I hope I’ll intrigue a few of you to read his books and make you a fan of him like I am. His books just enthralls your imagination and makes you stick to his every word until you finish reading.

Daniel Gerhard Brown is an American author best known for his thriller novels, including the Robert Langdon novels Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno and Origin. His novels are kind of like treasure hunts that usually take place over a period of 24 hours.
The striking feature of Dan Brown’s novels is ‘Cliff-hangers’. He has mastered the art of writing fatal cliff-hangers which is the core of any thriller novel. If one wants to learn how cliff-hangers are written, read his books. Cliff-hangers is a style of writing where readers are driven to a point where he feels he will get a conclusion or an explanation to a suspenseful event or the novel itself. But at the last moment, he’s robbed of the opportunity.
He throws conspiracies at the reader from the first chapter of the book so you’ll always have something to look up to right from the start. I’m also amazed by Dan Brown’s ability to set up the events in places the world has already been to and is familiar with.
I found his Robert Langdon series the best. The reason for this is because first Langdon is portrayed as a Harvard University professor of religious iconology and symbology. And I as an art lover was quite enthralled by the ancient places and symbols the writer described. It was as if I was standing at that place glimpsing through Langdon’s eyes. You can smell the air and admire the splendor of the monuments.
Second, the excitement of what new plot twist is going to take place in the story next intrigued me. And the best of all I adored the main character. Robert Langdon has such a strong and sweet personality because of which he gets to meet a new girl in every book of the series. And he still seems to remain single for some reason. I found that quite amusing.
The series has a total of 5 books till now.

Angels And Demons:
Published on May 1, 2000. Dan Brown describes the world of Illuminati and how they plan on destroying the Vatican city with a stolen antimatter canister. He also describes the process of how a new pope is elected. You’ll love how the writer describes the spots in Vatican city.

The Da Vinci Code:
Published on March 18, 2003. The story takes place in Paris, France. Robert Langdon here becomes the main suspect of the murder of curator of the Louvre. The ending leads to the reveal of a shocking secret dating back to the time of Christ. Found the description of Louvre and it’s secrets quite fascinating.

The Lost Symbol:
Published on September 15, 2009. This story takes place in Washington, D.C. Where Robert Langdon’s mentor gets kidnapped. You’ll find a lot about the lives of Masons and theirs secrets in this book.

Inferno:
Published on May 14, 2013. I feel like this is the most intense book of the series. Robert Langdon wakes up in a hospital suffering from amnesia because of a bullet in his head. Then he is attacked in the hospital and saved by a doctor, who Robert found was lying to him about her identity and intentions. Robert gets some clues and tries to decipher them in order to stop a deceased madman’s creation from killing half of the world.

Origin:
Published on October 3, 2017. The story takes place in Guggenheim museum, Spain. You’ll be awed by the description of the museum. The host of the event in the museum is murdered because he was going to tell about his new discovery. Langdon tries to find out what the secret was.
If you have interest in art, history and architecture you’ll find Dan Brown’s books quite fetching. The way he describes every detail makes you feel like you really are at that place.
The good part is that these books also have a movie adaptation. So if you’re not a fan of reading you can watch and enjoy the movies. The character of Robert Langdon is played by Tom Hanks. And I think he justifies the role.
