My 3 Friends

Greed, Temptation and Peace

I am going to tell you the story of three friends.

My first friend was greed.

My second friend was a temptation.

And my third friend was peace.

As I grew up I realized greed never left me aloof in life. But what disappointed me greed didn’t have just me. It had millions of others to hold its hands too. It used to upset me by listening to others how greed is necessary for the growth in life. The feeling of being more, wanting more, showing off more, lured their minds. I didn’t enjoy greed so I had to face its wrath too. Greed left me alone one day and became friends with millions of others who cherished it since day one.

My second friend temptation entertained me from time to time. Temptation said I need to grow up else I will be left behind in the race of life. I saw people who were temptation best friends and I was lacking in all spheres of life and it became next to impossible to please my friend temptation. I started ignoring it a lot and one day it left me too just like my first friend greed.

My third friend was peace. I tell you what my third friend never turned it’s back on me and didn’t come to me easily either. It took a lot of pledging, crying, moaning, depression, toxicity, and negative vibes to finally understand when it’s dark that’s when you see the light of the day. Peace came to me when I literally begged for it. Peace was arrogant though. It was happier with those who understood its worth since genesis. I was bit late but peace forgave me for that.

I once asked peace why didn’t you leave me like my first two friends and it responded to me that I am here to stay just like you understood the meaning of life, I understood your role as well. You are not here to impress others and that’s the place where we both belong together.

I hope you rejoice reading my story.
