My 200th Story

15 months of Medium later

I made it to the 200 story milestone! I started writing on Medium in November of 2021, so it’s been 15 months of writing to get to this point. Now, most of you know that I don’t write full time like some writers on Medium, even my new friend, Tovah Rainsong writes more than I do! She’s already published almost 40 stories in two months! So to accomplish 200 stories in 16 months is an accomplishment worth noting for me.

I’m of the opinion that my stories aren’t even nearly as important as the wonderful experience I’ve had with the people on Medium. So I’d like to honor some of the friends I’ve made over the past 15 months with a poem!

On the first day of Medium, I had no friends Even on the second day, there was no one to lend An encouraging word to my sorry writing It wasn’t long before they were within my sighting!

Along came Robert of New Writers Welcome At the same time Jonathan joined in the fun They were the first, never to be forgotten Their help was invaluable, two mighty men.

The next sweet fifteen months, Brought friends galore, all at once. There was Susie and Jay and JF, Also Klara, Graham, and Ben.

Micheal and Ginger and Chris and Selina, All there for me when I needed them. Then there’s Sweet Chaos and Jacinta, Friends forever, sight unseen!

So many more that I need to mention But I must end this poem to ease the tension. Suffice it to say I’m happy and glad To have these friends that I never had!
