Music Is The Way To Fill Your Space
Sound is an often-overlooked decorative idea

Having a peaceful, beautiful home takes some effort, but it does not have to consume too much of your energy. You can do inexpensive things with lighting, dried or fresh flowers, splashes of color, and exciting furniture arrangements. I have had the pleasure of going to many houses that have been decorated exquisitely. And there have been many which weren’t as nicely decorated, but I still enjoyed being there. One element I discovered that enhanced my enjoyment was whether they allowed music to fill the space.
I typically enjoy music from virtually any century and spectrum. When I’m at home or office, working or relaxing, my preference is for smooth jazz instrumental music. It fills the room with clean and crisp auditory notes that are pleasing to my ears. It allows me to have a conversation and relax my body, and not be distracted by lyrics.
Without music, life would be a mistake.
― Friedrich Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols
As you look around right now, be it home, home office, or workspace, what sounds fill your space? Is it outdoor noises of nature which are certainly pleasing? Or is it the sounds of a busy community bustling about going here and there?
Whenever possible, my advice is to do your best to control your environment and all sensory input. I’ve found music is the answer as you can select what you want to fill the auditory space. But be aware of the effect music has on you. If you’re needing to be energized, there’s music for that. If you desire to decompress and relax your mind and body, there’s music for that.
If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.
― Albert Einstein

Where ever you are, filling your space with music can be the background towards living an optimal life. It doesn’t really matter how. It can be via your Nest Mini, Amazon Echo Dots, Sonos, Bluetooth Speakers, or whatever you have. Just fill the air with the pleasing sounds of music that you selected.
My suggestion is not earbuds, as the only space they fill is the space between your ears. I’m not anti-earbuds, but there’s a difference in how the music reverberates in a room and feels against the rest of your body. Though I know at times earbuds are the only option.
Final Consideration
Your home or flat should be a place of utter refuge. A place that when you arrive, peace should transcend your psyche. Physical decorations, paint, and furniture are part of the peaceful ambiance but don’t forget the often overlooked one. Music. Choose to allow music to fill your space as pleasing sounds are a relaxing way to know you’ve safely arrived at home.

Me: I grew up one of 12 kids in a family business my immigrant grandfather started in 1925. There I quickly learned the value of work having started in that same business at 8 years old. Several siblings operate that business today. In 1994, I started Dynamic Image Marketing. Building systems to optimize my business and life is enjoyment for me. I love to help friends and clients do the same. Life is all about learning ways of doing things more optimally and I’m willing to share the same with others.
