Multiple Lives in One

Spiritual prompt

First I wrote poems and prose,

Then I began to sculpt wood But exhibitions were dearer Than the money I got, And more, my guide died.

Then I became a singer in a rock band But the group couldn't hold together.

Then I became an actor But could not sustain a correct life.

One day I met Hélène Who wrote such a beautiful French And was fluent into English, Ancient and Modern Greek, Russian, Provençal, Italian, Latin, a long story that split.

Then I became a scriptwriter But stopped when my last director Died during the location scouting. Others deaths aborting other projects.

Now I come back to my first true love, A mission aligned with my soul. Thank you for these apparent dead ends, They've enriched my journey to you.

This poem is an answer to Simran’s God’s Master Plan For Us, she is an inspiration source and partly to Gurpreet who launched a writing prompt, “If I Wasn’t a Writer, I’d be…”.
