An Art Contest
MuddyUm Mascot Contest $100 Top Prize
WANTED!

We are sending out the call. To our artist friends, far and wide.
We are in search of a mascot.
So bring your best cartoon skills. Your best graphic artist skills.
All entries will be highlighted. And our writers will sing your praises.
You might even want to come and stay a while, be a writer/cartoonist/artist for this dear pirate ship of a publication we have going on here.

The idea for a mascot comes from MAD Magazine. When we started MuddyUm, we were thinking about MAD. And National Lampoon. And other lampooning publications, too many to list here. Though we all do love listicles. And lampooning of them. And poking fun at ourselves and the mother ship.
And do you remember that MAD had a mascot? Alfred E. Neumann. “What, me worry?” was his slogan.
So sort out your calendars. We’ll be taking entries until the last day of 2019.
Award will be paid out of MuddyUm editor earnings. Okay, well MY personal editor earnings. That’s how much faith I have in this publication.
Submit entries via a published article and design on M*d*um. Or ask to be a contributor here at MuddyUm. Or if you are shy, email me at [email protected]. Comment on this article to let me know it’s coming by email. A panel of judges of existing writers in our secret pirate ship tree fort for MuddyUm writers only will vote on the winners.
First place will receive $100. Second will receive $50. Third will receive $35. Honorable mentions and all entries will be featured in an article in January, 2020. MuddyUm will retain all future use of winners’ submitted artwork for promotional purposes. Artist credits will always be noted with use.
Winner SHOULD have an active PayPal, Venmo or Cash app account for payment. Or we can send a money order if you don’t have any electronic payment options.
Good luck, and happy creating.
