Moving Forward — Summer of 2020

Is there a NEW me in you?

I received word the other day that my place of business is opening back up on June 8th. I might be required, I am told, to come in a bit earlier…

…for many, it’s a welcomed return to some normalcy. For me, it’s the end of a time that took me to another level. Instead of focusing on my job 40 hours a week, I had time to focus on my business and it’s creation — and myself.

I’ve had time to write, read, walk, do yoga, meditate, participate in online courses LIVE (not the replays). Activities I’ve been doing all along when I could squeeze them in.

Now I been able to spend my full days with these activities.

I’ve had a chance to focus on what my message really is. How I look to help people. I’ve written a course that I will sell.

It’s been a very productive time, a peaceful time, a time of creation, a time of soul searching, a time of activity and a time of rest.

This has been, for me, a gift of time.

I realize this has been a difficult time for many…I realize I’ve been very fortunate. I am also very grateful. I don’t look to make light of this time, but to bring some light into this time.

I finished a live webinar about half an hour ago and was going off to meditate when words started to come to me. I had the luxury to just sit down and start typing this article. How I will miss being able to do this.

Many have said, and I’ve shared in some of my other articles, that we won’t go back to what was normal. That there will be a NEW normal. And I’ve wondered and questioned what exactly that will look like.

While I am still uncertain of what the NEW normal will be in our world, I know I can’t control any of it. I can only control myself and my reactions.

I’ve been thinking about how I will return to ‘life’, the what I can control part. What I have connected with since I have been home.

The NEW me.

I look to be more peaceful, more insightful, more patient. I say more as I feel I already was prior to, but now since I’m at a deeper level. I intend to be more determined, focused and courageous.

It’s time for me to step even more outside of my comfort zone…

I realize that I will need to work more, with both my day job and my business combined at this point. I now know that I need to play. If I’m not having fun, I’m in a lower energy and will burn myself out.

It’s time for me to find the balance…

As I have gone within and spent time with myself, I have become clearer. I have had a passion and a vision for awhile to help other women. The niche I was focusing on — were women, mid-life, who have been through divorce, having to reinvent themselves.

I now realize that I will open my niche — to women who are looking for empowerment. They might be mid-life, they might not. Could be divorced or widowed, or still married.

It’s the ladies who desire something more, including reinvention and are looking for guidance — and a community to support them.

We know about the importance of community, do we not fellow Illuminators?!

Though I am board certified as a health and wellness coach, with a functional medicine certification — my intention is to be known as The Empowerment Coach.

From my WW days to now, I’ve helped people tap into their inner power. It wasn’t just about weight loss, it was about stepping into who you are meant to be.

Are you living the life you would like?

A life which includes you, not just everyone else around you.

Do you have boundaries? Do you set intentions?

What are your standards? What’s on you absolute no — and yes list?

What brings you joy?

What can you do without?

What do you want to be known for?

Are you dancing…

…I used to hear that song and think of my kids — now I include of myself.

No more sitting it out — it’s time to dance…

Is it your time?

Let’s not look back at the years — and wonder where the years have gone…

For many of us, we have been given some extra time. And we will still have time, within our days and our lives to continue on — or maybe first start the journey of self discovery.

Where do you need to step forward — and can you embrace yourself?

I am all about wellness and well-being. Which is multidimensional as it includes Physical, Career, Intellectual, Spiritual, Emotional, Social and Environmental. These are the seven dimensions of wellness and areas I will focus on through my BE WELL Method, which I have created.

As you may have noticed, I always end my articles with “Be Well”. This is what I am wishing for all of us — to be well, which is complete mental, physical and social well-being.

To be the best versions of ourselves, embrace and not beat ourselves up. Understand and have compassion for ourselves.

Take care of ourselves, as if we don’t, who will?!

Tap into our power within

It’s not about what we get that makes us happy — it’s about who we become and what we can give.

What are you capable of…

As we have connected, I would love to hear if there is a NEW me happening in you. Have you changed? Plan on staying the same? As deeper level thinkers, what have you discovered during this time?
