Mount Kailash remains an unresolved mystery

Time Travel
People who were able to visit this holy place claimed that they observed the rapid growth in hairs and nails. The growth of the hair and nails, which takes around 2 weeks in normal situations, tends to take place here in only 12–13 hours. Several tourists have made the claims about time travel; however, these cannot be backed by evidence.
Changes in Position
The only individual to be successful in scaling up the peak was a Tibetan Buddhist monk named Milarepa. The peak is believed to change its destination and focuses on blocking the tracks, thereby misleading the climbers. Researchers have argued that trekkers would tend to move in the opposite direction or may face extreme weather conditions that force them to descend. No single trek has been successful till now.
The World’s Central Axis
Several research studies carried out by America and Russia argue that Mount Kailash is the world’s center and is considered the Axis Mundi. It is further associated with different monuments worldwide, including Stonehenge which is approximately 6,600 km away from this place, the North Pole is around 6,600 km and the South Pole is around 13,300 km away from this mysterious mountain.
The Hindu holy text Vedas has mentioned that Mount Kailash is the world tree or cosmic axis, and the same is argued in Ramayana.

The mysterious peak’s four faces tend to face 4 different directions of the compass. As per the Vedas, the peak tends to be an association between earth and heaven. The followers of Jainism, Buddhism, and Hinduism are of the view that this mount acts as the gate to heaven. The Draupadi along with Pandavas are believed to have achieved moksha while hiking the peak.
