Motorbike Racer, Mystery Doctor, Many Questions
April Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Graffiti & Street Art”
Waiting for the train to cross.
I don’t know what it means.
Maybe a world champion motorcycle racing doctor once lived here. Perhaps he was a member of the VR46 Racing Team. Or perhaps “The Doctor” with his rainbow characters and green background is part of an earlier artistic endeavour that was overwritten by the biking enthusiast.
Perhaps that Doctor once visited the area.
And what is the crowded artwork below these two mystery characters? Why was it painted over? Did it say something awful, or did someone decide that a blank grey wall was more pleasing to the eye than whatever was there before? If so, why didn’t they finish the job? Did they change their mind … or have too short a ladder … who knows …?
So many questions. Not a single answer. But it gave us something to speculate about while we waited at the rail crossing for the train to go by.
If we’d been on the train, rather than on the street at the crossing, we would undoubtedly have been passing the time by reading one of these great storytellers: Mary Chang Story Writer, Ellie Jacobson, Dunelair, Dennett, pockett dessert, Susan Alison, Kris Bedenian, Kim Zuch, Jennifer Pierce, Stuart Aken, Linda Acaster, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, Pene Hodge, Diana Lotti, Will Hull, Nicole Anders, Danielle Hestand, Madeleine McDonald, CARMEN F MICSA.
