Note: While I have tried to be thorough and comprehensive, Medium sometimes lists multiple stories as the top story within a single day so it is possible that stories only listed for a very brief period of time are not included.

Why is This Data Important?

The stories featured on “Popular on Medium” represent what’s trending on Medium, on any given day. To writers trying to understand what a top article look like and to see an example of what works on Medium, this data can be very useful. But because Medium is constantly adding new articles, this list frequently changes. As there is no archive of these articles, it is hard to gather multiple articles to study for trends.
