Most People Recover From The Coronavirus
Even though the pandemic has taken its toll
COVID-19 has not gone away
More than seven months have passed since the coronavirus pandemic started. It was supposed to be over in two months according to Donald Trump. The warm weather was going to make it magically disappear. Now winter and cold weather are coming again. COVID-19 is still here. In fact, statistics show that it is getting worse. It has become a political issue.
People in the United States and the whole world have suffered greatly economically. Even after spending $4 trillion dollars in the USA on various stimulus packages, individuals and businesses are hurting financially. People who are able to work from home or who still have jobs are fortunate. Many people have realized that they were completely unprepared or they have used up their savings.
Even with all the deaths and positive cases of the coronavirus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported that most people who contracted the virus have recovered. The cases were mild or symptoms were absent for the majority of young people who were affected. It has hit all age groups.
People in the older age groups, especially the elderly, can suffer more severe cases and die at a higher rate. Nursing homes have had many cases and deaths among their residents. Still, there are also many senior citizens who have recovered after testing positive.
Even after contracting the coronavirus himself, Trump refuses to make changes. He does not accept any blame for the more than 220,000 people who died from the virus in the United States. He says he handled it well and would not have done anything differently. He has called out his medical experts such as Dr. Anthony Fauci. He has surrounded himself with people who agree with him.
Trump said he is cured and that people should not worry about the coronavirus. Of course, he had million dollar care with treatments which are not available to the general public. He refuses to acknowledge the problems of the pandemic and insists that the coronavirus will not even be spoken of after the election is over.
People should not listen to Trump and what he says about COVID-19. The coronavirus pandemic is still here. We should follow the advice of medical experts and continue to wear masks, wash hands regularly, and social distance. Prevention is the best course of action.
The numbers of positive cases and deaths should go down if we would all practice good health and safety measures with respect to COVID-19. The numbers of positive cases and deaths at the present time are alarming.
