Most honest Intro I have ever given to anyone about myself

Picture of the author

Grew up in a small town of Bihar, India with a very normal lifestyle and minimal ambitions/expectations from life. As I smoothly slipped into my adulthood, my curiosity started blooming. First I decided to become an administrative officer, then a charter accountant and finally shifted to studying engineering (as everyone else in my time was doing it tbh).

I did a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering but ended up working in the IT sector as a Software Developer. After 3 years or so it hit my head that I should be doing what I studied and took my Bachelor’s degree in. Hence, I decided to move out of IT, and that’s how I ended up doing my Master’s in Electronics Engineering from Germany. By the start of 2019, I was an electronics engineer in a very reputed firm in Space sector. I was on cloud 9, as I felt I achieved what I wanted/decided.

But, after working there for 2 years or so, I started developing interest in managing my project for which I was working. This was noticed by everyone else in my team including my Boss. And to my surprise he promoted me to Technical Project Specialist where I am mostly handling technical aspects of my project like understanding stakeholders requirements and managing its right flow to the developers in my team. All in all, I’m loving my Job and happily living my life. No complaints about that.

Hold on! I’m not done yet. One day, I randomly read a quote,” Exploring yourself is the ultimate form of self-care” and BAM! I went into a self analyzing mode again. “Am I exploring myself well?”, “Have I discovered everything I like or want to do in my life?”, “Am I completely satisfied with my life?” These questions led me to hunt for my passion once again.

And then I discovered my interest in “writing”. I mean I was always into it but had never done it like this on public platform. I was writing long notes to friends and loved ones, short poems, etc. This clicked in my mind and here I am, with all my enthusiasm and energy to explore my passion.

Medium allows me to explore my hidden potential in many ways. I would also be documenting all of those that I figure out.

I am closing my intro with these lines,

“Life is too small to let go of things you want to do. Do it as you have time and resources for it and don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.”

#KeepExploring #Keepevolving
