Morning Reflection in the Side View Mirror

Capturing beauty in all directions.

Photo taken by author.

I was excited to read Anne Bonfert’s post Reflections in the Side View Mirror because it reminded me of the above picture that I took one crisp, brilliant morning driving to work with the top down on the old, 2002 VW Cabrio convertible that I drive. I hurriedly asked Dennett to add me as a writer on the publication, Weeds & Wildflowers, so I could contribute to the thread.

Flinging through my photos, I found it only to be disappointed by its quality. “Now what?” I wondered. I left it alone for a few days but have decided to publish it despite the poor quality. Why am I telling all this?

It was a moment. A moment of joy. Wind spattering hair across my face. A chill running through my arms and the sun rising behind me. An impulse, click! Close your eyes and smell the fresh morning dew.

Thank you Anne for reminding me of the moment:
