Morning Meditation
My soul’s medication to help keep it healthy — a prose poem

As I lay with my head on the floor I thought of how infinitesimally small I am in comparison to You, my Lord*
I am less than a subatomic particle on this tiny spec of a planet, which we call Earth Yet the Earth is not even visible from within most of our Milky Way galaxy
And our galaxy is next to nothing within our universe Our universe forms the innermost of seven universes** in Your creation, my Lord It is the innermost of those seven, so has six other universes surrounding it
We are talking about inconceivable distances and huge amounts of matter My mind cannot even begin to conceive of any of it Yet, my Lord, You hold all of that — all seven universes — in one hand!***
So what am I compared to You, my Lord? I am less than nothing
At times I feel like I am a negative, a tiny black hole Still, You give me hope that I might grow my essence — my real self, which I call my soul — enough to withstand Your awesome presence
For to be close to You is Paradise And to be far from You is hell!

* To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth, and He is the Most High, the Great. (The Quran 42:4)
** He created seven universes in layers. You do not see any imperfection in the creation by the Most Gracious. Keep looking; do you see any flaw? (The Quran 67:3)
*** They can never fathom the greatness of GOD. The whole earth is within His fist on the Day of Resurrection. In fact, the universes are folded within His right hand. Be He glorified; He is much too high above needing any partners. ( The Quran 39:67)
