More Words for Writers and Scrabblers
Stimulate your brain, solve crossword puzzles and score better at Scrabble

Today’s collection is assembled from crossword clues, the University Challenge quiz, and bomb blasts:
Reredos. I love the way this word rolls off the tongue! It’s a large screen behind the altar in a church. I’m not a churchgoer and it was a new one for me.
Csardas: A traditional Hungarian folk dance, typical of music by Bartok. A good one for scrabblers with ‘cs’ starting letters.
Mydriasis: Pupil dilation, as visible in the eyes of an adoring lover.
Colofon: If you write books, you should know this. I do and I didn’t. It’s a brief statement containing information about the publication of a book, such as the place of publication, the publisher, and the date of publication.
Brisance: The shattering capability of a high explosive.
Enjoy!
