Summary
The web content presents a reflective poem and audio piece addressing societal issues, emphasizing that the root of systemic problems lies beyond superficial human differences and is tied to control and governance.
Abstract
The poem "More To Us Than Flesh And Bone" delves into the profound societal challenges that extend beyond racial divides, suggesting that systemic failures are the result of a deeper issue of control by those in power. It criticizes the current state of law enforcement and the justice system, highlighting the need for stringent accountability and reform. The piece calls for unity among the populace to address the true enemy—a failing legal system—rather than fighting amongst themselves. Accompanying audio and imagery enhance the poem's message, urging a collective demand for change and the establishment of a more equitable society.

How limited we have made ourselves
How shallow our blood runs
Repeated like a mantra that
it’s people, not their guns.
It’s baffling to see another man down in the road
Homicide recorded on the books in simple code.
The failure is systemic and it isn’t black or white.
The seed of ill dividing us also set up the fight.
Distracting with indignity, the wretched, violent few.
Enraged for fallen victims, but something is askew.
Mobs of angry humans react with screaming hate,
Put against each other and of course, we took the bait.
Fostering such hatred for humans all the same,
A violent psycho with a badge was paid to play this game.
The root is not about race, it is about control.
The big boys in their penthouses don’t care who pays the toll.
But nobody is stopping, demanding real reform,
where rules are written in the books to pacify the storm.
A heathen with a cop-badge should not have passed the tests
He slipped past the radar and violently progressed.
One act that is violent and cops should be dismissed,
no second chance, no warnings, no more slapping of the wrists.
Why do we allow cops to work frontlines for so long?
The president gets four to eight before he moves along.
The military service lasts four to eight long years.
So why are we okay with cops that work life-long careers?
We need to drop the hatred and learn from what we saw.
We should not fight amongst us, we must fight the failing law.
