More Than Survival
A Poem
I want now to be about more than survival, don’t you want to feel the sun on your face the life you didn’t live slipping from view like bubbles over the fence from some unknown wind I want to feel the purpose and point again of your hands on me, desire on the verge of taking a big risk I want now to be about a chapter unfolding, a twist of the time-keeper a trail never seen before a mist of rain surprising a yellowed leaf a wonder the crest of the landscape still beckoning adventure instead of day-in, day-out survival kiss me like you always did and make now about more than survival.
