More multilingual guided tours at Cheong Wa Dae to be offered

Exciting news awaits international travelers exploring Seoul, as an expanded selection of multilingual guided tours will be made available at the iconic former presidential residence, Cheong Wa Dae.
In celebration of the 1st anniversary of Cheong Wa Dae’s public opening, the Korea Tourist Guide Association (KOTGA) has introduced a specialized training program for tour guides.
The primary objective of this initiative is to enrich the experience of foreign visitors in Korea by providing them with enhanced insights into the historical significance, cultural heritage, and compelling stories of past presidents associated with the compound.
The inaugural session of this comprehensive 4-part training program took place on Friday, 9 June 2023.
The training program drew enthusiastic participation from a diverse group of freelance guides, many of whom possess the invaluable ability to communicate in multiple foreign languages.
This linguistic diversity promises to elevate the experience of international tourists visiting Seoul.
Notably, a total of 31 licensed tour guides, graced the training session.
Their language proficiency encompasses English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, French, Vietnamese, and Russian, ensuring a personalized and immersive experience for visitors from various corners of the world, as revealed by the association.
As the KOTGA looks ahead, they are already planning to offer this exceptional training opportunity once more later in the year.
This commitment to continuous education and development ensures that the tour guides remain well-versed in the rich historical tapestry of this significant complex, guaranteeing unforgettable experiences for travelers seeking to unravel its fascinating stories.
