Moon Magic

A Poem

Asking the dusky midnight

With full moon shadows

The dark-lightness is seen with tugs

Of days gone by,

Nostalgic days,

Loving days,

Precious days,

Ne’er to live again,

Only to capture anew.

And from the depths of this full-blown light

Of far-near paleness,

A yearning grows

Of intensity,

A wanting

Of a memory’s touch,

A needing

Of a sharing of this intermittent magic

That fills the soul with lust.

The magic works,

The touch is new.

A lover not gone,

But here in this time

Of moment’s present,

To fall into a passion not lost,

An embrace not forgotten,

Blossoming into love’s explosion

Equaling none,

Satisfying beyond dreams,

Satiating fully…

Until the morrow’s magic light

Comes again.
