Moon/Egg, Yolk/Sun
A Poem

An egg is a moon wrapped in a brittle shell. The summer yolk drips down the sides and into the craters.
The moon is lit by the sun/yolk. We stand by our kitchen windows with our morning coffee, and we relish in the flaxen glow.
A mismatch of shapes is no cause for concern. The moon and an egg bring both comfort and familiarity to our lives.
The egg represents birth and the moon represents a time where our most buried thoughts unfurl and disappear in an ethereal snowstorm.
