Moon Base Lunar25
Another Trip to Oberon

Moon Base Lunar25 Transfer Station
When I finally arrived on Moon Base Lunar25, my first thought after exiting the landing pod was just how dark dreary and cold this place is. As I stared into the darkness of a somewhat distant lunar cliffside, I thought about how the numbingly quiet atmosphere outside on the moons surface was both liberating and depressive at the same time. The vacuum of space seems almost new every time I experience it, and being at Lunar25 evokes the feeling that I actually belong in our solar systems massively complex array of planetary objects.
The optics are surrealistic, and the shear immensity of the visible space is incomprehensibly clear thanks to the Revo5G Mulnocular visors. The latest version of their visor magnifies and re-balances the definition between close and distant objects, generating a hi-definition field of focus for all visible objects [close and far].
Revo5G’s optics division developed optic fusion tech that increased and expanded cerebral cortex activity into previously underutilized areas of the brain achieving a superlative level of clarity. A clarity that puts object size, location, and spatial perspective into complete balance.
The mission was on time and progressing to plan. Taking a small deviation from the mission schedule to stop and enjoy the moment was self-serving but the sensory experience derived from Revo5G’s Mulnocular [celestial_fabric:active_participant:option] is overwhelmingly gratifying, and this brief escape was sorely needed.
Moments later I was back on mission time. While heading to Lunar25’s logistics center I threw myself back into project manager mode and reviewed the next four milestones for this mission; 1) Gather the crew and hold a status briefing; 2) Inventory equipment, load the ship and prep for transport; 3) Complete the passenger and cargo manifest; 4) Verify ship readiness and destination coordinates for the trip to Oberon.
Mining Oberon for Urite crystal was dangerous and laborious as most mining operations are, but the high demand for Urite crystals coupled with it’s commercial worth offset many of the undesirable aspects of a dig. Having personally experienced the Quantized Effect, the undeniable memory enrichment created a powerful lingering draw on your psyche. The total experience, including the positively desirable after effects, provided an ample experiential understanding of why Urite was so desirable and lucrative. It’s still a mystery as to what the other uses for Urite are, although the Quantized Effect is so elucidating that maybe in the end nothing else matters.
I have to admit, the personal gains I received from my few Quantized Effect encapsulation’s were life altering. The last one allowed me to complete my Level 5 UR Geologists training because I was able to reconstitute and improve my temporal memory retention. It also added alternate perspectives of my previous Level 5 UR-G training & study sessions. Having your historical memory altered by adding alternate views feels like magic or having wishes granted, unfortunately negative after-affects include a strong compulsion to repeat the process. Much like an addiction, once you experience the Quantized Effect you constantly crave your next encounter with it.
Just goes to show that no matter how much things change, some things [like bad habits and addiction] stay the same.
