A Taste for Life | Writing Prompts
Monthly Theme and Writing Prompts: July 2022
Let’s celebrate life in July whether it is the summer or winter season where you live.
The monthly theme for July is, “life is good.” We are sometimes so focussed on the things that go wrong in our lives that we don’t notice the good parts.
“We wait for the rains to cease, the clouds to part, and the sun to shine before saying life is good. Ironically, it is because we endure the storms that life seems so wonderfully bright at their passing.” ― Richelle E. Goodrich.
Many times life has more ups than downs. Let’s celebrate the joy and good things we appreciate in our lives on a daily basis whether there are rain or cloudy days.
Here are a couple of questions to help us look for the gems in our life that we sometimes forget to notice. I trust you would be able to say “life is good,” after your reflection.
What are the small or big things in life that make you happy?
Why is your life good today? What happened? When and where?
What is the one thing about life that you are really grateful for?
Who or what bring you joy? Why?
Do you have routines you follow that make you happy?
What do you do when life’s down parts arrive to restore your life to be great again?
Ponder the questions above for a couple of minutes. What feelings of joy, happiness, or gratitude did it evoke in you? Share a story or stories with us about the theme “life is good,” that your reflection sparked in you?
Are you interested in, and invigorated by, writing prompts? You are welcome to self-publish, and submit stories to other publications or A Taste For Life, based on the July 2022 monthly theme and prompts.
I’m looking forward to reading your stories. Here are some additional word(s), video, and photo prompts to spark your muse.
