Money Isn’t the Root of All Evil, Your Lack of Spiritual Insight Is

And you’re in a great position to help humanity if you see this

The way we think about money is profoundly influenced by one part of the world.

Which, for the sake of money, burned & converted the Mesoamerican civilization, sold drugs to China until it collapsed, and looted India of everything it was worth.

So it might seem as though the pursuit of higher morality + the accumulation of wealth are mutually exclusive.

But that’s only because of how profoundly twisted the Western world is!

Some civilizations break the script we’re used to.

The most wealthy part of the ancient world, India, was also the most spiritual.

Stories abound of great, wealthy royals renouncing the throne to pursue spirituality (the most prominent example being the Buddha). Resources were so abundant that people’s thoughts naturally turned to higher pursuits.

Even though North America is the richest part of the world today, our thoughts don’t necessarily drift to pursuing enlightenment after we make a comfortable living.

They’re usually related to acquiring more, to “compete” with the tough times that are always ahead (even though we’re in a global golden age).

The West doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere, culturally speaking, decade after decade.

The bar for the standard of living keeps getting raised because if you speak out about using wealth properly, you’ll get labeled as some sort of hippie.

The very things we consider socially acceptable are holding back our evolution.

The collective consciousness hasn’t come far enough yet.

Sri Aurobindo once said that spiritually inclined people have a responsibility to become as rich as possible.

It’s so that the power of money becomes entrenched in sensitive, empathic, and ethical hands, rather than the clutches of greedy self-interest.

Ironically, it’s only through money that we can really change the world, for the better.

Ancient India’s most famous Machiavellian thinker, Kautilya, once said wealth is the root of Dharma (ethics/spirituality/sustainability).

But if your culture is one in which the spiritual folks are all hiding in convents, ashrams and communes, you may not see how important and revolutionary this is.

This is why the path of spiritual evolution is utterly intertwined with the energy of abundance, prosperity, & value.

Spirituality involves increasing our sensitivity to reality, and wealth is the fruit of it!

Too many seekers don’t see it.

Being interested in spirituality does not mean you have to become a yoga teacher or therapist or best-selling writer.

It means you have a responsibility to infuse your higher values into ordinary places — the dentist’s office, a new startup, or wherever you may find yourself working.

For too many centuries, the empaths & seers have retreated from the coarse barbarity of the immature human beings among us. Because they assumed enlightenment had nothing to do with such a world.

But awakening is everywhere; it embraces all phenomena by definition. And how could it ever shy away from relieving the suffering of the world, if it truly is one with all?

You need to heal your attitude toward something that is inherently neutral. And then infuse your use of it with positivity and selflessness, rather than competitive greed like the childish folks do.

The universe is literally infinite, and you’re only imprisoned by your own perceptions — not any inherent lack anywhere.

Realize this! And help others with your success. There’s no other way for us to transform Earth on a large enough scale.
