a poem, when I should be cleaning

The words that are usually my constant, insistent companions have been absent of late.

At least the words that hurl themselves into the world forming a safety net.

These days, the words and phrases have been bouncing against the steel trap of indifference and fear.

Fear of failing once again of being misunderstood of running out of time. And yet, the words come.
