Mmm Mondays- Life Matters

At Mmm Mondays, we believe the things we do in life matter, and many of them make us say Mmm.

Mmm Mondays began as a space for bloggers to write about whatever made them say Mmm, whether it be frisky fiction, a walk back in time, or a mouthwatering morsel too good not to share.

Since it’s inception here, in January 2021, it has grown, morphed and evolved, as have many of the great writers/photographers who once participated. As several talented individuals have migrated to Medium, it appeared clear that perhaps Mmm Mondays should move too. So, here we are.

In January 2024, the lovely May More (a.k.a. Juniper Less) joined the Mmm Monday team, bringing with her prompts and themes from her now retired blog SEX MATTERS. She’ll even have her own feature page. This will be a place for all matters of sexuality, sex ed. and personal experience. Check that out here.

The addition of a new partner prompted a change for Mmm Mondays, and our feature pages have changed to highlight the parts of life that matter to us most.

But the purpose of Mmm Mondays remains the same, a home for sharing your favourite fantasies, sex related information, mouthwatering memoirs, and delectable delights, all in one place. The only limit is your imagination.

Because Mmm Mondays believes that each of us deserves our moment in the spotlight, only one submission will be published each day. Each day’s published writing will be shared on Twitter for promotion because sharing is caring.

The first Monday of each month will see a newsletter, highlighting the past month’s entries, and as the publication grows, a writer/photographer/artist will be given a shout-out as well.

The goal is to put the Mmm back in Mondays because Life Matters

So the only question is….

What makes you say Mmm?

Rules

Life has rules, and Mmm Mondays is no exception. But they are few.

• We will accept any genre, be it sexy or otherwise, as long as it makes you lick your lips, and others say Mmm — you know, that sound you make when expressing contentment or pleasure.

*In the spirit of SEX MATTERS, other sounds of pleasure are welcome too!

• Ensure you use a main tag for each work. Fiction, Nonfiction, Memoir, Poetry, Recipes, Reviews, Photography. Using Mmm Mondays will ensure a larger audience finds your work and the magazine.
• May and MrsK will review settings and tags and edit as needed to best fit the magazine. We may also add one of the following: SEX MATTERS, FOOD MATTERS, BOOK MATTERS, LIFE MATTERS, & WORDS MATTER to align with our feature pages.
• If writing a story, works between 500 and 2500 words seem best to keep readers engaged.
• We ask that if you are submitting an image-oriented post, that you include no less than 100 words. Tell us about your photo, perhaps what led to it, and why it makes your mouth water.
• Poetry can be any length, but should fit the Mmm theme.
• Reviews are welcome. Whether it be a product, a book, movies, or travel destination. Again, we only ask that you keep it positive.
• When submitting a tale, poetry, or memoirs, please include an image that is visually appealing and fits your submission. Don’t forget copyright info. Everyone deserves recognition for their work.

***Please be aware that submissions containing illegal activities, racism, pedophilia, or similar will not be published…***

Artificial Intelligence

Literature written solely by AI defeats the purpose of highlighting all the amazing authors that contribute. If you use AI to write your submission, please label your story as such. AI images are, of course, accepted, but need to be labelled as well.

• **All submissions will be read before publishing, but will not be edited, except for post structure. If anything is required, you will be left a private note***

Medium has its own set of rules. Duplicates are not allowed, so be sure your work is original and unpublished elsewhere on the platform. Please note, we’re happy to have work already published on your personal blogs.
