Mirror, Mirror
A Poem about self-worth

Mirror, Mirror, What do you see, when you look at me?
Do you see the lies that I’ve chosen to see? The lies that have been so ingrained in me?
You are broken You are too emotional You will never be successful You will never be happy You are unlovable
Mirror, Mirror, Who do I see, staring back at me?
Finally, In my reflection I see, who I’ve always known I could be.
I am formidable, because of the circumstances that threatened to break me.
I am empathic, because of the emotions that guide me.
I am thriving, because of the passions that drive me.
I am content, because of the gratitude that radiates within me.
I deserve love because I love despite of, I can receive love in spite of
And, most importantly, because I am ENOUGH.
