Minor annoyance (bug?) when running AWS CLI commands

Can’t see the output of your type the wrong thing

Let’s say you run this nifty command using the AWS CLI:

aws cloudformation list-stacks

You get back a list of CloudFormation stacks. Cool.

Now your list is very long so you want to get out of it rather than scroll through the whole thing because the one you wanted was at the top.

So out of habit, you type Ctrl-C.

And that’s when it happens. You type things and cannot see what you are typing anymore. Echo on won’t save you.

Your only recourse (that I have found) is to exit and reconnect and re-navigate to wherever you were on AWS EC2 Linux.

When you get your long list of CloudFormation stacks or whatever and you are sitting there at the colon prompt : you are supposed to type q.

Old habits die hard. I wish AWS would make ctrl-c work the same way as q.
