Mindfulness
It’s now
Mindfulness is the practice of being in the moment. Being present in the now.
It’s the practice of just being without judging, censoring. Not being reactive or interpreting. It’s a practice of just being, even for a moment.
Mindfulness is about attention to the present. No forward thinking, no past thoughts, only attention to what is happening in the now.
It can be practiced anywhere, even for a small instant. Mindfulness of a meal improves the enjoyment of it because it is there, adding flavor. The act of attention to a present act.
Mindfulness also improves the act of listening. There is no anticipation of what the other person is saying. Mindfulness is the act of being there, of fully listening with present intent.
Mindfulness can reduce anxiety, stopping, even for a brief time the churn of too much forward thinking.
Be present. Be mindful.
