Mindful Steps Exercise
To bring you back to the present moment
Preferably, try to do this outdoors, barefoot.
You need a small area where you can walk in a line for 5–6 steps
- Take 3 deep breaths (inhale, exhale thrice)
- Take 5–6 steps in one direction.
- Then turn slowly and take the 5–6 steps back to where you started
- When walking, be aware of your breath and your body.
- How does the floor/ground feel under your feet?
- Is your body light or heavy today?
- Do you slouch when you walk?
- Is your back straight?
No need to change anything — just observe your body as you move naturally.
