Mindful Gardening Practice: Plant a Seed
As seeds change, we do too. Like plants, we grow in different ways, at different speeds. We need patience. Planting a seed is a great exercise in patience and caring.
You’ll need a pot with holes for water to drain and a dish to put under it. Some pebbles, soil, sunflower seeds, water.
- Place the pot in the dish.
- Add a few pebbles to cover the holes so the soil does not fall out.
- Fill the pot with soil.
- Plant the seeds in it, cover them with enough soil.
- Water the seed. Place the pot somewhere sunny.
Mindfulness practice
- Spend some time checking your seeds every day.
- Notice any small changes.
Soon you may need a larger pot to transfer the plants.
