Mind and its Malleability: How you create your biggest enemy out of your greatest friend.
We are always searching for one big answer: Which behavior/aspect of mine I should work upon and improve so as to do good in my life?
Before we think of the problems and the solutions, we forget to strengthen the powerhouse that gives us the ability to look for the answers.
The greatest underdeveloped territory in the world lies under your hat

Our Mind has the power to develop our perspective and it has the power to make us believe in our capabilities.
Our mind has the power to transform us but before that, we need to transform our mind.
Mind is so malleable that it changes itself in the way we think of its power.
Imagine a farmer`s harvest that decides his wealth and riches for the time to come. Our Mind is our exclusive farm field where the harvest depends on the seeds we sow. This harvest then decides our wealth and well-being.
Not that it is a big secret and most of us do not know this. The secret is, instead the problem is that even after knowing this we do not act on it. In fact, our actions and way of life tends to turn our mind into a machine that propels us away from the person we want to become.
You Never treat your mind as an asset
One of the bitter truths about Human nature is that we rarely value the things that are given to us free of cost. Our Health, Family, Natural resources, etc. These are the things that are given to us and can never be regained if lost by whatever amount of money we spend.
Likewise, our mind is the asset that we need to keep in good check for it to give us returns. We ignore our thought process; we overlook the way we perceive the world and we ignore our view about ourselves. All these things depreciate the harvest we reap from our mind and in turn it makes us believe in the depreciated capability of ourselves.
The way we see the world gets ingrained in our minds and makes us believe in a tempered view of ourselves.
To overcome the problem, start believing in the possibilities before even taking the first step. Tell your mind that you can do what you aspire for. Never think small of yourself. The power that can change the trajectory of your life, for the better, lies within you.
You need to believe it. Now.
You never declutter your mind
Everyone likes a clean space. It represents calmness and soothes our souls. You often delete unnecessary data from your electronic devices for them to work better and faster. But what about the cleanliness of our minds? Is not it the most powerful device you own?
As an overloaded vehicle loses its efficiency, an overcrowded mind never works at its best.
We do not need to know what is happening in every corner of the world, neither we need to know why Johny is unable to hook up with Maria nor the color of poop, Mr President had today. Do not try to consume every news around you. Be selective. Find out what really matters in your life and What is required for your growth and skills. I am not telling you to become a loner but do not treat yourself as a news channel.
We keep our minds so involved in everything that they never rest and recuperate.
Keeping our minds out of mess can improve our overall well-being. As per the report of the Utah State University and a study by the University of Connecticut, decluttering our minds can provide us with the following benefits
-It Boosts your mood and helps improve your physical health
-It Sharpens your focus
-It Energizes you into productivity mode
- It Relieves anxiety.
Keep yourself away from the things that have no significance in your personal development and in achieving your goals.
You feed your mind with negativity
A Mind is a barren soil; A soil which is soon exhausted, and will produce no crop. Or only one, unless it be continually fertilised and enriched with foreign matter.
- Joshua Raynold
Feeding your mind is essential but you need to give proper importance to the thoughts you consume. By filtering the information feed of your mind, you can steer your life and confidence up North.
There was a time when I use to tell myself that I will write the day when I am not busy with my day job. Simply saying; I used to consume, I will write when I will find time. The voice echoed back to me from my mind and I started believing that my plan is good.
One day, I woke up with the thought that the thing that I was telling myself about postponing my writing career was a sh*t. No, The revelation was not a providence. It was my subconscious mind which retained some sanity, which was gathering information from my surroundings and trying to connect with me for years. I do not brag about that sanity as I played no role in acquiring it. It just happened to me but you may not always get this type of awakening.
We bulldoze the right process and actions with our nasty logic. We feed our minds with beliefs that are actually anti-plans to keep ourselves away from our goals.
Our mind is the biggest copycat we have ever met. It only tells us what we told it in the first place.
It also works as our navigator. You tell your mind about success; it will articulate a number of ways to show you the way to go there. If you tell it about failure, it will generate the associated fear to hold you back.
Put a filter around your consciousness and consume only those beliefs and information that are healthy for your mind, like whole foods and green vegetables for your body.
Summary
Before we look for a solution to improve our life, we need to strengthen our minds. It is our friend and we need to do everything not to turn it into our enemy that constantly tells us that we are insignificant.
How to do that:
- Tell your mind that you can achieve your goal and in turn, it will start telling you the same thing. Over time your mind will instill this possibility into your psyche in such a way that you will rarely ever develop doubts about your prospects.
- As a clean space gives happy vibes, a clean mind generates positive energy around you. Throw the information in the trash that does not belong to you or that does not add value to you.
- You talk about detoxifying the body. From today, also start talking about detoxifying the mind. As the food you feed yourself determines your physical health, The thoughts you feed your mind determine your mental health. Be selective in what you tell your mind. Remember the mind will echo back the voice to you.
