Midjourney V5 Is Live!

A comparison of V4 and V5.

As soon as Midjourney’s V5 went live, I wanted to test it (play with it) and see how it is different from V4 and compare quality.

The image above and below use the same prompt, which I’ve listed below each image so you can see not only how simple the prompt is, but the steps to achieve it.

I set Midjourney to V5 by typing /settings then choosing V5 from the settings box that loaded.

The above image is so rich with color, lighting, shadows, depth, and crazy detail — and I only had to click on the image I chose. There was no upscaling involved at all. Just BOOM and you’re done!

A gorgeous photo quality image with little effort and a minimal prompt. Just what they offered.

This image (V4) is also rich in color but it lacks the lighting and dimension V5 has.
