Midjourney Explorations: Over 50 Easter prompts with 14 unique styles

Explore unique media styles for your Midjourney creations from Batik to paper arts to Zentangles. We will explore the many possibilities.

When I started this article, it was going to be an easter Zentangle cookbook, but as I played with the prompts, I was pulled to try some of the other art media types that I had explored in the past and decided to branch out. For many, AI art is about paintings or photos, but there is a whole world of art media types that lend themselves to generative art.

We will explore prompts for some other unusual styles that beg to be explored: Batik, Kirigami, Latch-Hook, Needlepoint, Origami, Paper Collage, Paper Cutting, Paper Mosaic, Parchment Craft, Quilling, Sashiko, Stenciling on Paper, Tapestry, and Zentangles.

I have included a blurb about each media type and several examples of how you might apply them in prompts. I encourage you to try them all out! I have also linked to some of my other Midjourney Explorations articles throughout this one, in case you are looking for additional inspiration in media types.

A note about semicolons in the prompts: Normally, you would expect a comma where you will see semicolons in my prompts. I do this because I run my prompts in permutations, and the commas break them. I have found that the semicolons have the same basic effect in the prompt as a comma.

Batik

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth. Wax is applied to the fabric in intricate patterns and then dyed; the wax resists the dye, leaving the applied pattern visible. It’s a traditional art form in countries like Indonesia.
