Summary

The website content outlines a creative writing challenge themed around food, specifically mushrooms, inviting participants to submit micro-fiction, poetry, or short-form essays.

Abstract

The web content introduces "Mid-Week Micro Madness #3," a writing challenge focused on the theme of "Deliciousness" with an emphasis on food. Participants are encouraged to write a piece of micro-fiction, a micro-poem, or a short-form essay that revolves around the chosen prompt, "Mushrooms." The challenge requires that fiction pieces be exactly 100 words, poetry adhere to traditional forms such as haiku, senryu, tanka, or cinquain, and essays remain under 150 words. Submissions must include a title, subtitle, and a correctly cited image, with the first line in bold for essays. Entries can be submitted to various publications, including Joanne Olivieri's "Delicious Delights," with proper credit to the creator, Ravyne Hawke, and a link to the original prompt for potential feature in a newsletter.

Opinions

  • The challenge is designed to inspire creativity within strict parameters, balancing brevity with depth.
  • The requirement for correctly cited images suggests an appreciation for copyright and artistic credit.
  • Encouraging the use of specific tags and mentioning the challenge creator indicates a desire for community engagement and proper acknowledgment.
  • The inclusion of a prompt concept credited to VerityAlways shows recognition of the challenge's origins and gratitude for its inception.
  • The sign-off by Ravyne Hawke, EIC, adds a personal touch and signifies the importance of the challenge within the writing community.
