Mi luz, my light

original photos by Kat J and Jarl Schmidt

Mi luz, my light,

Can you get me through this night? Can you make the dark seem bright? tonight

In the morning, when I woke I could feel my heart was broke And my eyes already soaked with tears

This year’s been a curse and it just keeps getting worse Gotta get myself back first again

But when?

Mi luz, my light,

Can you get me through this night? Can you make the dark seem bright? tonight

This year’s been a curse and it just keeps getting worse Gotta get myself back first again

And then, a new day pushing all my fears away everything will be okay it will

But still, I feel scared Is there anyone who cares? Are we ever really prepared for this

Oh this world that we are living in! How do we keep from just giving in? Is the ending an oblivion in sight?

Mi luz, my light,

Help me just get through this night? Help us make the dark seem bright? tonight.
