Mexican Supermarket Full of Joy
How to find the bright spots in life

“Force yourself to find something beautiful in everything you do and you will only do beautiful things.” ― Meir Ezra
I was so grateful to get together with two of my loved ones yesterday. We decided to chat while browsing the aisles of a lovely Mexican grocery store.
Around every corner, we encountered colorful packages and bright spots of food. We imagined the flavors and how delicious everything was. Everywhere we explored, we came upon something new.
I love how this market focused on celebration. Colorful pinatas are hung throughout the store, beckoning you to bring one home. Everything was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.

As we wound around the aisles, our world became bright, and our conversation continued as if we had only met yesterday. Time seemed to slow down, allowing us to savor each moment.
The bakery beckoned us with tempting sweet treats of every size, flavor, and color. There were savory rolls to make sandwiches, sweet buns to enjoy with a cup of strong coffee, and pastries galore.

As I watched my loved ones choose their treats, I smiled with admiration imagining their enjoyment. In this bakery, you use tongs to pick up each pastry and place it in a bag to purchase. It is so much fun to pick out your favorites.

We pondered the cheeses, candies made with tamarind and chili, pots, pans, and dishes. Our hearts were filled with appreciation for the abundance of everything in the store.
These moments made us feel light and free, floating along with the rolling of the cart. It was our time for some togetherness, however fleeting.
At times like these, I appreciate all my surroundings. A sense of love and belonging can happen anywhere, even in a supermarket.

What do you appreciate about your supermarket? Have you visited a different one lately? Please share your story in the comments. I appreciate you!
Today I want to share a story by JoAnn Ryan. She writes about a beautiful lake she likes to visit. It made me feel so peaceful reading about it and seeing her lovely photos. Thank you, JoAnn, for sharing a lovely place with us.
