What is it?

Put simply Metamask is an online crypto wallet system, with extra features.

You can accept, HODL, transfer, & swap crypto currencies with this application. The mobile app version also has a built in web browser. You can also buy the main gas token on certain blockchains inside the app. ( There may be a minimum amount & a longer wait time depending on what you are buying.)

You can add tokens to your wallets, add different blockchains to the app, send tokens between wallets on the same block chain, & see the transaction history of that wallet. You can also see which sites that wallet has connected to.

Once you connect your wallet to the site then you may be able to interact with that website, or any DApps on the site.

How do I use it?

I use it to do most of the above but maybe a little differently than some people.

I have several different block chains available, but really only use Smart Chain (BNB chain), because most of the projects I use it for are on that chain.

I also try to only have 1 wallet for each project, in case that project tries to scam me & drain my wallet. Therefore, I currently have 10 wallets in Metamask (some of them aren’t currently connected to a project but were in the past). As time goes by & things change, so does the purpose of some of the wallets. If a project rugs, scams, fails, or isn’t worth the gas fees then I may reassign it to a new project.

If it gets reassigned then I try not to ever connect it to the old project again. This prevents the old project from inferring with any new project it’s connected to.

When I’m online & doing my crypto stuff. I’ll make sure that the current wallet matches up with whichever project’s website I’m currently. (We don’t want any accidents to happen.)

Anyway, I know that there are other crypto wallets out there & everybody has their favorites. Maybe this one isn’t the best but it’s what I’m using at the moment. Let me know if you know of a better way to use this wallet or may have a better wallet that I might be interested in, in the future.
