The Ticket Frenzy and the Quest for Worship
So, it’s Messi’s second day in HongKong. Guess what? The Miami International team planned a training session in Hong Kong, and oh boy, it was a day to remember!
The organizers decided not to keep the training session behind closed doors. And you know what? Miami International agreed! They were like,“Sure, let’s give the fans a taste of greatness!” So, they sold tickets to the training session. Can you believe it? They had a whopping 40,000 tickets up for grabs, and guess what? They sold out faster than you can say “Messi magic”! It was a frenzy out there, and fans were going bonkers to get their hands on those precious tickets. It’s like the training session became the main event!
And guess what? Lucky for us, my kid’s elementary school managed to nab 18 of those golden tickets. The government even chipped in and bought them for the school. So, off my little champ went, all excited and giddy, leaving school at 3 p.m. to head to the grand stadium in Hong Kong. They had a blast, and when they came back around 8 p.m., they couldn’t stop talking about the electrifying atmosphere and the selfies they took with the soccer legend himself. Talk about bragging rights!
Now, here’s the funny part. With all the hype and demand, there were thousands of fans who couldn’t get their hands on those coveted Messi training tickets. But hey, their dedication knew no bounds! They showed up outside the stadium, hoping for a glimpse of their idol. Can you imagine? The crowd swelled to thousands, all waiting and praying for a chance to worship at the altar of Messi. The organizers tried to reason with them, like, “Hey, guys, there’s no guarantee you’ll see Messi,” but nope, these fans were like, “We don’t care! We’ll wait until our legs turn into noodles if we have to!”
The Hong Kong police had to step in and close off the roads around Causeway Bay, where the stadium was located. They thought that would deter the fans, but oh boy, were they wrong! These determined folks found alternate routes, jumped over hurdles, and did whatever it took to catch a glimpse of their hero. Talk about dedication!
And get this, before Messi even set foot on the training ground, over 100 journalists were waiting eagerly, cameras at the ready. When Messi finally arrived, the entire stadium erupted into a frenzy. Tens of thousands of fans went wild, chanting his name like a sacred mantra. Some lucky fans even managed to sneak onto the pitch, bow down to Messi, and get his autograph right then and there. I mean, who needs a regular training session when you have a full-blown Messi worship session, right?
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time Messi’s training session has become a ticket-selling extravaganza. Back in 2022, during Argentina’s World Cup preparations in Spain, they also sold tickets to the training sessions. They even limited the number of tickets, but guess what? Demand still outstripped supply. That’s the Messi effect for you!
