Memory of me
A poem

My hems no longer even and tightly stitched now frayed tendrils of stories. My fabric worn and washed so many times the shiny industrial sizing is long gone.
Only true character remains, softly worn and comforting. My weave so smooth that it is hard to imagine it was ever a weave at all. My colors blended, with Orton like edges that fade to eternity. I’ll linger on your bed until I linger no more. My scent now faded but sometimes imagined as you inhale the memory of me.

Foot note: an Orton is a photography technique where you layer two slides (film sandwich) together, one in focus and the other out of focus. It creates a halo like effect or a blending of edges. The photo above is a double exposure and I used the halo effect which is the digital equivalent to an Orton.
A Short Bio
An empath with newly discovered passion for writing. I find writing helps me release emotions that I carry, sometimes they are not even my own emotions, an emotional sponge so to speak. Creativity is where I find balance and release. I’m a long time photographer, mostly nature and travel photography and have recently started painting as well. I am in my renaissance, metamorphic stage or mother to crone transition in life.
I have a personal blog which contains some of my writing and photography.
