Memory
Bane or Boon?

The greatest faculty, Of the human mind, To remember all, It wants at its beck and call.
’Tis too great, For the various, Examinations, Rather machinations.
We have created, To test ourselves, The memory, The madness.
The boon of memory, Is only realized when, We see how we are, Measured amongst others.
It creates hierarchy, It creates dissent, It creates discrimination, It creates discord.
If not all of this, Was enough, The bane of memory, Is yet to come.
It is by the faculty, Of memory, That the emotions, Arise inside a person.
It is great, When the emotion, Has the notion, Of good inside it.
But, it is alas, A great misery, When all it brings, Is negativity inside us.
Anger, hate, sadness, Memory’s madness, For if there is no memory, There would be no emotion.
The notion of emotion, Arises from the memory, We hold so dear, And adulate upon its masters.
If we detach from, The memory, Whenever emotions, Arises.
All mental madness, Will just be reduced, To a myth which, Mysteriously disappeared once.
