Memories Of My An Ideal Thanksgiving Dinner
Family And Thanksgiving Dinner Go Together

Thanksgiving Dinner
This is a J. M. Troppello prompt. Can you describe your ideal Thanksgiving dinner? What are your favorite dishes?
My ideal Thanksgiving dinner would have my mother cooking it, just like the old days. She always baked a large turkey stuffed with the dressing. We had mashed potatoes with gravy. My mother loved green bean casserole, so that was a must.
Of course, there would be some cranberry dish. One of my husband’s favorites is a delicious sweet potato casserole and it was always on the table. There were always some types of hot rolls and butter too.
Who can eat all of this? It is very filling. Plus, there were pies. We had pumpkin pie and my mother insisted on a mincemeat pie. Needless to say, we were stuffed after eating this dinner.
The best part was all the family members. We talked and laughed for hours and had a wonderful time each and every Thanksgiving. Those memories are so precious to me.
I wish my mother was still alive so we could enjoy one more of those delicious meals.
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. --Jude 1:2
