Memories of another night
October Six Word Photo Story Challenge: Scary
Twilight hour. Eerie silence. Ghosts lurking.
Winter is always a wonderful time on my son’s college campus, from where he graduated last year. I loved going back with him after his Christmas break and spending a week there, mostly lazing around, drinking coffee, eating with the students, walking around campus when the sun was out — which was usually after lunch for a couple of hours.
The sun would set around 4.30 p.m. and it was a special kind of fun to walk around the darkened campus, enveloped by the fog. We would barely be able to see the buildings a few feet away, even though there were brilliant foglights casting their eerie glow all around.
And we would hurry, anxious to get indoors to the warmth of our woolen blankets. Then we would settle down to hours of binge-watching our favorite shows, happy in the knowledge that the coffee machine was just a few feet away. Wonderful memories I will always cherish!

I love Medium and the wonderful writers I engage with. Sadly, the Medium Partner Program is not open to writers based in India. One of the reasons I write is to support underprivileged children. Would you consider buying me a cup of coffee? Thank you so much!
