Memories
A Poem

Today I looked at the setting sun A deep pain I felt at my sides I cried for the love I lost The emptiness of it still burns inside me.
The sky that once was the sight of wonders With a shivering ache now it haunts The escape looks impossible, and hard to sever May be because it’s not what my heart wants.
Things you touched, the memories we made They cut me open and slice me raw Every time I take a walk down that lane, I cherish and rue the day we met.
Dreams are all that is left where I see you now I know in my heart that we will never meet again But I will always be thinking of you and Wishing we had a chance to try again.
