Melts in my Mouth
Flash Fiction — 300 Words
I devour the sappy nectar as it spills over my tongue.
It fits perfectly inside my hand as my fingers circle its circumference gently. Lowering my head, I take the rounded top into my mouth and closing my lips, firmly suck on the honeyed treat.
I savour my first sample and my eyes close as creamy silk invades my senses. Readjusting my grip, I run my tongue up its length, relishing how the rough ridges give way to a velvety crown.
I tighten my fist to better grasp it, circle it around the tip of my tongue and gather its silky sweet essence. I swallow the rich flavour and dive in for another lustful taste, licking at it and twisting my hand, mindful to touch my tongue to its entirety.
It exudes a fragrant potion, leaving a sticky residue on my lips as its mouthwatering aftertaste coats my mouth and soothes my parched throat.
I lap at it bottom to top, side to side, accentuating the desirous pursuit by plunging the circular summit into my mouth, invading the bulbous tip with my warmth.
With each swipe of my tongue, every descent of my mouth, I brush closer to the base. I nibble there gently, raking my teeth along the crest and am rewarded with a delectable milky bouquet of flavour.
I devour the sappy nectar as it spills over my tongue.
As it succumbs to my eagerness, creamy goodness drips over my fingers, and I take it in my other hand, pulling each finger individually into my mouth, slurping greedily.
The silky syrup clings to my lips, making them glisten. I lick the stickiness away as I consume the final few laps of rich creaminess.
Satiated, I smile and lick the last remnants away from my glazed lips, then each fingertip.
Is there anything better than an Ice cream cone?
