Melodies of Symbolic Solitude
Poetry
I sing about the sun, the moon, the stars, Bathing my emotions in allegory. But sometimes, it feels like living behind bars, With no one else understanding my story. I use symbolism to express my heart, To reach beyond the limits of language. But sometimes, it feels like I’m playing a part, In a play where the words are too strange. Living in metaphors can be a lonely place, When the people around don’t comprehend. But sometimes, it’s the only way to embrace, The feelings and thoughts we cannot bend. So I’ll keep on singing about the sun, moon, and stars, Hoping that someone out there will hear. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll connect through these scars, And find a way to make our feelings clear.
