Melodic Gratitude

For every beat and rhythm of life, A cheerful heart, a dance of breath Expression of the soul, a step of depth I am thankful for all the moves

For every footprint taken on an earthly surface With every petal of vibrant display For each color and fragrance that surpass I am thankful for all it surrounds

For every friendship that flowers Echoes of connectedness The tender embrace of hearts I am thankful for the companions

At that moment, of seizing beat and lost rhythm I flow in steps of gratitude and resilience Even at dawn, I draw from the regalia of reserve I am thankful for the melodies of ease
