Melaka Is Absolutely Stunning At Night! π±
There are so many lights!

Melaka (Malaysian spelling) or Malacca (English spelling) is a small city in Malaysia, about 1.5 hours away from Kuala Lumpur. Itβs super close, so itβs a great idea for a short trip. I love car rides! Last year, I was in Kuala Lumpur, so we drove to Melaka and spent 2 days/3 nights exploring this wonderful little gem!
Itβs a shame we didnβt get to stay longer, but I had a wonderful time! In particular, I really loved the night views. We were staying in the most popular tourist area (Jonker Street), so itβs probably extra nice. Still, I thought it was beautiful.
Come along and I will show you!
We took a nice walk in the evening and came across this sign on the wall. Of course, I had to take a photo to show I have been to Melaka! Luckily there were not many people, so I could take a good shot. I probably should have done a funny pose in front. π

As we walked past the sign, we came upon the riverfront. The lights are stunning. They run right on the sides of the river. See the boat? π³οΈ You can even take a night cruise! I kind of wanted to go on it, but we didnβt get a chance. I love boat rides!

As we walked up, there were even more lights. This time, they dangled from the trees. Itβs so bright! It made me feel like it was Christmas. There were so many decorations everywhere.

Shops were still open. Check out this place. Even the name of the shop is lit up in bright lights. I did go into this Chocolate House π«, but I didnβt end up buying anything. Why? Although it was nighttime, it was still very, very hot! By the time I get back to the hotel, the chocolate would have melted!
Itβs too bad.
Melaka River Cruise tickets are also available here! Hm. Why didnβt I just buy a ticket? Iβm not sure.

Last, but not least, we came upon these cool rides! There were a bunch of people here offering to take you around town on a bike. You get to sit in a comfortable seat, while they do the hard work and pedal you around. I felt a little sorry for them.
It was still so hot and they had to ride this bicycle. I suppose they were used to the heat. π₯π₯΅βοΈ
They were catering to kids, as they had many kidsβ themes on their bicycles. I saw elaborate Hello Kitty π± and superhero decorations, all lit up and flashing so brightly on the bikes! There was also music blasting from the bikes. Surely, many kids would love to ride this.
I didnβt go on these either. Hmm, I feel like I should have done more, aside from only walking on foot. Thatβs ok though. I love to walk.

And that was my little adventure around Melaka at night! Walking is one of the best ways to experience a new city and I certainly enjoyed this a lot.
There was a lot of time to take plenty of great photos for my blog! π Plus, I got my steps in! πΆπ»ββοΈ
