- Who does your acronym say you are?
I love helping people be in a position to help themselves. I’m a firm believer that one of the greatest gifts we could give anyone is a means to be self-sufficient. I overstand (no room for misunderstanding) the power of encouraging words. The right words, said at the right time, and by the right person can change anything. I regard myself as a nerd because I live to learn, so I may learn to live. I know a lot, but I don’t know enough. And no amount of time will ever allow me to know it all. I love enlightening others via my wisdom, which derived from drawing the proper conclusions from my experiences. I consider myself a rebel because I don’t accept anything without analyzing first. I’m not addicted to following trends or people who are going nowhere fast. And in my mind, I will be forever young. Meaning, I’m going to allow my inner child guide me. If I want to do it, and I’m able, it shall be done. We only have one life to live, so I’m going to live mine on my terms.
2. What genre(s) do you write across or your stance on writing?
I believe as writers our shared offerings should make readers not only think but just as important, desire to act on their thoughts as well. So, everything I write and share is meant to provoke thought, and activate action.
3. When did you start writing on Medium?
December of 2019.
4. Where do you write from in the real world?
Detroit, Michigan
5. How do you write? Showcase your process.
I start off by reading. I read offerings of fellow writers and then I comment on what I felt afterwards. So, my comments are the first things I write daily. The comments motivate me to write something of my own. Sure, every now and then motivation just comes to mind and I get to writing but for the most part, I’m motivated to write by reading the writings of other writers.
6. Why did you choose to write on/and or continue to remain on Medium?
My wife brought this platform to my attention because she knows how much I love to read. It sounded like it would be interesting, so I joined. After going around reading the offerings of others, I knew I had found a place I wanted to spend quality time in. Being able to read perpetually and the relationships I have established are the primary reasons I continue to come back to this platform.
