Best Reporter

I enjoy writing articles based on research for a news app called NewsBreak and keeping a blog on Medium.

I also publish my own newsletter called “Musings and Reflections” on Substack.

WHAT genre(s) do you write about?

I have a broad range of interests including nature, mental health, technology, food, travel, and family. Instead of narrowing down to a specific niche, I prefer to explore various topics without limitations in my writing.

Additionally, I enjoy incorporating my own photography into my pieces, particularly focusing on nature and travel subjects, as I am an enthusiastic nature and travel photographer.

WHEN did you start writing?

In early 2020, I began crafting stories about my family after realizing that my children took pleasure in reading my old journal entries. Witnessing their genuine enjoyment brought me immense satisfaction.

This realization sparked an idea to write about personal events, life stories, and anecdotes involving both myself and other family members. By doing so, I could not only provide my children with even more special memories but also establish a lasting legacy while pursuing my passion for writing.

However, it wasn’t until my sister persistently inquired about when I would put my musings into a book that I found the inspiration to start writing and blogging.

Although I had always been an avid reader, I knew that maintaining a dedicated readership on a blog required consistently delivering high-quality content. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I could sustain such a level of consistency.

Nevertheless, writing and reading have now become an integral part of my life in ways I never imagined. I write every day and publish a minimum of five to six pieces each week.

It has become a routine that I cherish and a creative outlet that brings me joy.

WHERE are you located in the real world?

I am located in a charming city in the American South.

HOW do you write?

Explain the motivation/inspiration that makes the words come.

I find inspiration in various subjects, such as nature, health, and current events, and I love using my well-researched articles to raise awareness about important issues.

Through my writing, I aim to make a positive impact on readers by inspiring them and promoting kindness and positivity.

Having a platform to share my ideas, experiences, knowledge, and perspectives is truly incredible. It allows me to reach a wide audience and engage with people who resonate with my work.

With a background of living in six states, five countries, and three continents, I have a wealth of exciting stories to share.

WHY did you choose to write on Medium.com?

Further, why do you continue to write on this platform?

I initially considered starting a WordPress blog, but I eventually abandoned that plan due to my belief that driving traffic to a WordPress blog would be challenging.

However, after reading a few Medium articles, I was impressed by its ad-free, clean, and user-friendly minimalist design and interface.

Medium seemed like an ideal platform for building a writing community and showcasing my writing portfolio.

I find great joy in reading articles on Medium covering a wide range of topics. Each day, I learn something new and find inspiration and enlightenment from the talented and accomplished writers in this vibrant community.

I greatly appreciate being a part of this like-minded group of individuals, and I admire everyone’s open-mindedness and the values they uphold.

I also want to express my gratitude for the encouragement and support I have received from this community of exceptional writers.

While I may consider writing a fiction or nonfiction book someday, my immediate focus is on embracing my role as the “Best Reporter” and online content writer. I take pride in the growth and evolution of my skills.
