Who am I?

I’m a journalist, essayist, book reviewer, author, and reader.

Writers helping writers is important to me.

So many more experienced writers helped me when I was starting out, so I continuously look for ways to pay it forward.

What better way than to be a part of a Friends Reading Club?

What do I like to read?

The stories I like to read teach me something, make me laugh, or touch my heart.

My main interests include books, history, religion, travel, writing, and personal experience stories.

Yet that doesn’t mean that a strong title and good writing won’t lure me into other areas to read.

Let me share 10 of the many wonderful writers that I enjoy reading.

Art Bram, Ayodeji Awosika, Belcairn, Casandra Reid, Klara Jane Holloway, Paul Walker, Scot Butwell, Sharon Woodhouse, Vera-Marie Landi, and Veronica Llorca-Smith.

And here’s 10 members of the Reading Club I plan to learn more about through engaging with their writing.

Aaron Waddell - Pickleball Philosopher, Aimée Brown Gramblin, Barbara J. Martin, Dr. Tracy Davis, Isabel Lugo Jarboe, Jay Squires, Karen Grant, Sally Prag, Sharon Johnson, and Toni The Talker.

I’m a firm believer in learning something new every day.

It’s why I joined Medium.

When I meet people here through reading their writing and engaging with them, I’m growing as a writer.

If you’d like to learn more about my step-by-step growth as a writer, here’s the details.
